Beihui Information is an IT company focusing on the development of enterprise sales management systems. Challenges encountered

All business systems of Beihui Information are developed based on Microsoft technology and run on Windows Server + IIS + .Net + SQL Server platform. In recent years, in order to cope with the change of business format, Beihui has shifted its product sales model from the original packaged software sales to the current SaaS model. The change in sales model has brought more business, but also brought challenges.

1. In the early stage of SaaS business sales transformation, Beihui Information deployed its business system in an IDC in Guangzhou to provide SaaS services to the whole country. In the process of providing external services, the IDC SLA also failed to meet the SaaS SLA requirements, which seriously affected the user experience. On the other hand, due to the domestic North-South network, the user experience in the North is significantly worse than that in the South.

2. With the continuous development of the business, the required computing power and storage space continue to increase. Beyondsoft Information has increased hardware equipment to meet business requirements. In addition, various shopping festivals, the end of the month, and the end of the quarter are the peak times for user visits to Bihui Information. In order to drown the peak demand, Bihui Information had to increase hardware investment. The investment in these hardware devices not only increases the difficulty of operation and maintenance management, but also worsens the balance sheet and income statement.

3. As hardware increases, commercial licenses continue to increase accordingly. Software licenses for Microsoft operating systems and databases are related to hardware information, so it’s difficult to quickly and legally expand business nodes and databases under traditional licensing models.

In 2016, with the help of cloud vendors partner Agile, Beihui Information began to use cloud vendors public cloud instead of traditional IDC. Agile Cloud complies with the cloud vendors Best Practices Methodology for Cloud Enterprise, and tailored a solution for the transfer of business systems to the cloud in stages for Behui Information.

In the first stage, the business system was reinstalled and deployed on cloud vendors, and RDS was used to replace the original SQL Server. IDC is set up as a remote disaster recovery center.
